Ballroom makeup is an interesting beast. It’s over the top,
in your face, and arguably akin to drag makeup. That’s why when I saw this
makeup tutorial based RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Violent Chachki, I knew I
had to share it with you. This look caught my attention because
of her excellent use of color, which would look spectacular if you are wearing a lime
dress. For those of you who are apprehensive about trying brightly colored makeup, you can substitute the lime green for white or champagne.
I would personally avoid the intense nose contouring, which
even Nikkie shows some apprehension about, as you want to stay away from looking too drag. However, everything else about this tutorial is perfect for your next comp!
